I founded DownhillConcepts to intentionally be a small company with lightning quick reflexes, industry leading hardware, unrivaled customer service standards and the most talented and dedicated staff anywhere.
I keep the client count very low as to be able to provide a level of service that is unequaled in today's IT service industry.
I believe in keeping 100% of our operation in the USA, and we only contract with vendors and suppliers in the US. We have redundant data centers near Boston Massachusetts and in Atlanta Georgia. Additionally our office and all support staff are located in central Massachusetts. Every employee of DHC is a US citizen, we do not hire foreign workers here on a work visa.

Accessibility Each client gets their own access to cPanel. This allows you to take complete control over each of your domains including allowing management of your entire website, email accounts, databases and more. For example, you can add / remove email accounts and forwarders, configure password protected directories, manage MySQL databases and more directly through the cPanel system without having to contact customer support. Of course if you wish you have us make the changes for you, we will be happy to do so. Reliability Our servers are 2u rack-mounts instead of the denser 1u systems with 2u rack space between them for better airflow, cooling and reliability. All of our server storage disks are protected by hardware RAID10 arrays to help reduce or even eliminate downtime in the event of a hard disk failure. The servers are also feature hot-spare disks preinstalled for immediate fail-over. The hard disks are completely hot-swappable so that the failed disk can be replaced while the server remains online. Server backups are completed TWICE every 24 hours and your backups can be securely downloaded for storage at your location for additional redundancy, or be restored to a local server at your site to be used as a testing environment. Apart from a simultaneous, catastrophic, physical destruction of both of our data centers, it is hard to imagine a senario that would take down one of our clients' hosted environment. Performance One of the first bottlenecks to be hit in an environment hosting databases is the throughput from the hard disks. To resolve this problem Downhill Concepts uses ONLY Seagate 15k (SAS) disks. We maintain optimal throughput level on our servers under load to prevent delays in presenting data to your applications.
